When I was looking for the perfect number plate in the normal bike stores I could not find the perfect plate for my bike. Nor the colours nor the size was what I was looking for, so I designed and created a plate myself.

I originally raced from 1982 through 1987 as Junior and later as Expert. And in 1983 I participated in the Dutch national championship.

Also back than it was difficult to find a suitable number plate for my bike, so I created and made my own number plates, and sold some to the local riders.
In 2007 I stated racing again, together with my 2 sons. And still, choosing a number plate was difficult, one was too big, or wrong colours. Thus I made plates for my self and my sons. These plates perfectly fits our bikes, colors are OK and the perfect size. Soon, others were asking for plates these as well and this is how BMX PLATES.EU was born.
